  • Advance registration and payment required for classes.

 

  • We require at least 72 hours notice of cancellation so that your reservation may be made available to other students. Students who miss a class or cancel with less than 72 hours notice will forfeit their deposit.

 

  • No open-toed shoes may be worn in class.

Independent Open Studio Time

 

A unique opportunity to use our facilities to work on your own glass projects. Students who have participated in a class at GlassLink and have purchases their materials with us are eligible to use our classroom and tools while working along side other glass artists during these free-form sessions.  Available during normal business hours for $2 per hour, but you must call ahead to reserve time.

 

Kiln use charges are $6.50 per firing in our small kilns and $11.00 per firing for our large kilns, with three exceptions: vase shaping is $7.50 per vase, bottle flattening is $10.00 per bottle, and bracelet shaping is $6.00 each.  Use of our shaping molds for the kiln are $1 per mold, if applicable.

 

Dichroic Club

  • $10 per year to join
  • 15% off all dichroic glass day of club meeting
  • Kiln charges pooled with other members to save on firing fees (combinations determined by GlassLink)
  • Great way to expand your dichroic stock by trading pieces with other club members

Cutting Techniques: The Basics

Become familiar with basic tools, safety, straight cuts,

curved cuts, and how to break a perfect circle out

of a sheet of glass. This is sometimes a prerequisite

for other classes and an invaluable foundation class.

Beginning Stained Glass

Learn the ancient art of stained glass and create works of art for yourself or friends! We will teach you all the skills required to create your own glass project using the copper foil technique. Finished project is approximately 8” x 16”. No artistry required. Cutting Techniques: The Basics in Cutting workshop or equivalent experience required. Tools included. Glass extra. $95.00

Celebrate Louis Tiffany’s birthday this month with this fused glass lamp. In class, you will make a 12” glass shade that mimics the look of one of his most popular lamp styles. Finished project makes a beautiful tabletop accent lamp. No experience required. Glass and base extra. $40.00

Take your bead making to the next level and learn how to  create 3-D figures!  Our instructor will take you through the steps necessary to create a detailed glass penguin, and explain how this little guy can be the foundation for creating other figures such as teddy bears, cats and dogs.  Tools included.
